Bangalore, considered as the ideal gateway to India, offers something for everyone.  It is a paradise for tourists with architectural landmarks, natural lakes, gardens and parks.  Bangalore is an ideal place for job-seekers, particularly in the Information Technology field.  There are enjoyment opportunities aplenty for the visitors.

It later came to be known as Bengaluru.  The colonial rulers named it Bangalore.  Now it has got its original name Bengaluru.

Among the major attractions in the city are Bangalore Palace and Tipu Sultan Palace.

Chikkajala Fort is situated on airport road. The city is known for some natural lakes like Hasaraghhatta, Hebbal and Ulsoor.  Ulsoor is a popular picnic spot where boating facility is also available.

Bangalore has large number of churches and temples. St. Mary’s Church, the oldest in Bangalore, was elevated to the status of basilica. Dargah Hazarath Tawakkal is visited by both Hindus and Muslims.  Jumma Masjid was an imposing structure. The city is also dotted with large number of temples.

Vidhan Soudha, where Karnataka legislature is situated, is a major attraction in Bangalore. Among other attractions are Lalbaugh, Bull Temple, Cubbon Park, Ashoka Pillar, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium and Film City.

Being a major city, all types of accommodations are available in Bangalore.  It has about three dozen five-star hotels and more than four dozen four-star hotels.  Besides, there are a number budget and low-end hotels.

Most of the luxury Bangalore hotels provide all modern amenities to the visitors.  Facilities available include room service, swimming pools, party halls, conference rooms, spa and gyms.
